News : Gwinnett Braves join Dunwoody Soap Box Derby

The Gwinnett Braves have teamed up with the Dunwoody Soap Box Derby and “are now an official part of our Race Team,” according to Addie Alberghini, Derby Race Director.
Beginning with this year’s race, Scott Reasoner, Marketing Director of the Gwinnett Braves, notes that they are taking an active part in promoting the Dunwoody Soap Box Derby with various activities during the year.
To show their support for kids and Derby racing, “Chopper,” the team’s official mascot, will be at the race and he is looking forward to meeting spectators.
The Gwinnett Braves have designated Sunday, August 1 as Dunwoody Soap Box Derby Day at their stadium.
Following the game that day, kids will be able to go onto the field and run the bases. “Chopper” will have tickets for that game with him at the Derby for purchase.
This year’s Derby drivers will also receive two free tickets from “Chopper” to the June 18 game as guests of the Gwinnett Braves.
Everyone at Dunwoody Soap Box Derby is looking forward to a long and successful partnership with “Chopper” and the Gwinnett Braves!
